Do you know there are websites which allow you to login to your Instant Messaging (IM) accounts like Yahoo, MSN, AIM, and GTalk without installing any software clients? This is good for those people who are not given permission by administrators to install anything from their computers. Or to those who are using other people’s computer which doesn’t have the IM software that they need. The good thing about these online messengers is that they work even if you’re behind firewalls. So check out these two websites.

On the other hand, the problem with using online messengers is the unavailability of some features such as webcams and file transfers and others…But if you simply want to chat, these sites will be very useful.

Do you know what BitComet is? It’s a torrent client that you use for downloading torrent files. Besides being a torrent client, BitComet has a stand-alone FLV player and it’s SO small. It’s only about 274kb (at the time of this writing). Top that! It’s the only player that I’ve seen that is so small and yet it has all the necessary features that you need for an FLV player.

Take it from a coffee guzzler. I find 3-in-one coffee mixes too boring. On the other hand, I’m not in the habit of drinking Milo, coz I think it’s too sweet with sugar (which you can’t do without or your Milo will taste like ****). So there was this one time, when I had nothing better to do, I thought about mixing a 3-in-one with Milo. Even as I was pouring hot water over it, the aroma told me I was up to something good.

The taste? Well, you should find out for yourself. Get a 3-in-one instant coffee mix like Nescafe, Great Taste, SanMig or what have you, and put it in a cup (duh!). Match that with three (3) teaspoons of Milo (NOT Ovaltine), stir and enjoy! Works for both cold and hot concoctions. And oh yeah, I think Great Taste suits me better, but you choose which you like better. Also, don’t go for more than four teaspoons or it’ll taste too much like Milo.

I suggested it to some friends, and it quickly became a habit. Some say it’s better than the standard mocha.

Most of us have been using Adobe’s Acrobat Reader for a long time. What have you noticed? Before, you’ve had to download a huge installer file, wait for an annoying splash window to disappear when you open a document and the application itself has a slow response.

I came across this neat FREE software from Foxit called Foxit Reader. It’s incredibly small (about 2.5Mb), fast, has a text converter and also has high security and privacy, and more. I’ve already tried it and it’s nice. It has all the features that you need from Adobe’s version.
