It’s easy to find subtitles for your favorite movies that you downloaded from torrents. Simply Google search using the EXACT torrent name like “Tropic.Thunder[2008]DvDrip-aXXo” and add a “.srt”. For example:

Tropic.Thunder[2008]DvDrip-aXXo.srt

Google will return results from any or all of the following sites:

These sites could display one or more subtitles for different torrent uploaders. You should download the subtitle which has the exact file name as your movie or one that has indicated the name of the torrent uploader of your movie such as “aXXo”, “FXG”, “FxM”, etc…

Once downloaded, copy or extract (if zipped) the subtitle file into the same folder where your movie is located and that’s it. Make sure that the movie and the subtitle (.srt) file has the same exact file name to be sure.

To see if your subtitle is working, simply play the movie and see if the subtitle is correctly synchronized with the audio.

In some cases, if you can’t find the subtitle for your movie with respect to the torrent uploader, you could try other subtitles. Sometimes their subtitles are correctly sychronized with your movie.

We are all fans of these top torrent uploaders. We always visit their respective pages from time to time to see their latest. Checking their pages everyday is a bit time consuming. Using Firefox’s Bookmarks toolbar and built-in RSS reader, you can easily see the latest torrents by each individual without going to each of their respective pages as shown below.

aXXo, FXG, FxM, KLAXXON & NikonXP are my top 5 best torrent uploaders. Unfortunately, there are a lot of other users who upload fake movies. They trick you into downloading their fake movies by adding the name of axxo, fxg or any genuine uploaders into the torrent file names. So if you try to search for axxo torrents for example, surely their fake uploads will appear in the search results. Their goal is simply to waste your time and bandwidth.

That’s why I have provided direct links to each of these users’ torrent lists. You can guarantee that these movies are really uploaded these guys and they are genuine and real DVD rips. If you’re looking for new movies and are not in their list, it means there are no official DVD release yet.

A codec is software that is used to compress or decompress a digital media file, such as a song or video. When you play a digital media file, Windows Media Player uses a codec to decompress the file. Codecs are used to create and play nearly all music or video files on your computer or on web sites.

In other words, you don’t need to install different players for different formats on your computer. But some people prefer a different player other than Windows Media Player for their interface features and functionalities. Whatever your player is, you can use that player to play any video and audio formats as long as you have to right codecs.

A lot of people are asking if there are users out there who uploads quality DVD movie rips through torrent. Some people also asks if there are other users besides aXXo who has a good reputation as well. So here is my personal selection of the top 5 best movie torrent uploaders. My basis for this selection is their reputation in uploading quality DVD rips and popularity.

  1. aXXo - There’s no doubt, he’s the best and most popular torrent uploader. He had this reputation of uploading only quality DVD releases averaging 700MB per movie file. Lately, aXXo had been uploading a lot of “trilogy” and “box sets” torrents which is excellent for those movie collectors out there. He names his files properly indicating the year the movie was released and the type of audio encoding used.
  2. FXG - For me, this uploader is very comparable to aXXo. He became very popular just lately but he’s already been uploading for quite some time. He also limits his movie files up to 700MB in average.
  3. FxM - This uploader is not as popular as aXXo and FXG but he also has a good reputation. He also maintains an average of 700MB per movie file. The good thing about this user is that most of his movies have subtitles (.SRT files) included.
  4. KLAXXON - When aXXo was gone for a few months, this user appeared. Some people thought he was aXXo because he uploaded quality DVD rips as well. But he’s definitely not aXXo because of the way he names his files. A lot of people were furious about this user for including the keyword “axxo” between his name. So whenever you’d search for “axxo”, the user “klaxxon” would also appear. Many people hated this strategy but indeed a smart move to get noticed.  KLAXXON doesn’t maintain a 700MB file average because some files are about 1.2GB in size. But if you’re looking for more movie collections, check out this user. What I don’t like about this user is that he doesn’t indicate the year the movie was released.
  5. NikonXp -This user, like the previous uploaders, has a good reputation. Unfortunately he’s not so popular that he loses some seeds for his torrents. He uploads quality DVD rips, BUT he also uploads regional (R5) releases. So if you can’t wait for the real DVD releases to be ripped, you can check this guy’s R5 releases. He also has a good collection of movies with subtitles (.SUB) on some.
